A look at Cairo
Cairo is the gateway to Egypt's livestock market. It has no large farms of its own, but it receives more livestock deliveries than any other governorate, coming from the Delta and Upper Egypt to private buyers, restaurants and licensed slaughterhouses. Activity rises noticeably during Ramadan and Eid al-Adha.
If you live in Cairo or nearby, you can buy livestock directly from farms close to you with no middlemen, at a clear, itemised price, with same-day delivery to most areas.
Every animal listed comes from a verified farm with a full vet record, and every price is shown in Egyptian pounds and US dollars at the Central Bank of Egypt rate. Halal slaughter is available as an add-on if you need it.
